Since 2013, the National Clearing Survey has been the only way for universities to objectively understand the motivations and behaviours of students who apply directly and through Clearing.
Last year we surveyed over 5,300 students and analysed over 500,000 data points, which participants access through personalised interactive dashboards. This year is our most comprehensive yet and we have already received insight from over 1,000 student surveys.

Early findings highlight a decline in parental influence, alongside significant growth in reliance on LLMs, including ChatGPT.
